Historical Display at Gatton
On Freemans Road at Gatton, the Gatton District Historical Society features a display of memorabilia from both the Helidon Spa Park and the mineral water operations. If it's Monday, it's worth the drive.
The lever and arch folders on the bench in the foreground are Joan Webster's notes and research material for her book about the history of Helidon Spa.
If you enjoy a deep-dive into local history, the Gatton Council Library (Lockyer Valley Cultural Centre; 34 Lake Apex Drive, Gatton) houses a small section devoted to local history. A copy of Joan Webster's book is in the collection too.
