Saving the Old Road Sign
They don't make road signs like this any more! The old sign and post for the Helidon Spa Caravan Park lays in waiting by the front gate.
The huge metal post places the sign well within view of passing motorists on the Warrego. The new owners are big on sustainability, recycling and acknowledging history. So the old sign will get restored, repainted with the new business name and proudly planted in the original location.
Speaking of history, the very first road sign for Helidon Spa still exists. The good people of the Gatton & District Historical Society have it and many other pieces of Helidon Spa history archived at their village in Gatton on Freemans Road.
